Studying Abroad
Recognition of studies
One of the key-advantages Campus Europae has in comparison with other exchange programmes is that CE guarantees full recognition of the foreign learning experience. Such is made possible due to the fact the each study programme undergoes a development phase that comprises three distinct stages:
- at first the University representatives analyse each others courses and modules by sharing information on taught contents, developed competences, duration, ECTS, teaching environment, didactics and learning methodologies;
- subsequently compatibility matrices are built. The matrices are a juxtaposition of similar and therefore replaceable and recognizable modules taught in the sending and receiving university;
- the final phase consists in formalizing a multi-party agreement at institutional level among all Universities that have been engaged in the works of the subject committee. The agreements are based on the matrices and have the sole purpose of guaranteeing ex-ante recognition of all ECTS awarded during the period students are abroad.
The matrices are kept up to date thanks to periodical reviews undertaken by the respective subject committee. Each committee continues to meet even after the end of the development phase to ensure that the implementation of the study programme is in accordance with the highest quality assurance standards.
