Board of Directors meeting report
The European University Foundation – Campus Europae (EUF-CE) held its Board of Directors meeting on the the 15th March 2010 at the University of Luxembourg, which was attended by Rectors and Rector’s representatives from fifteen countries from every part of Europe.
The Board of Directors has decided:
- to appoint a Ombudsmen for student mobility, with a view to further the network quality assurance policies and procedures;
- that all students moving amongst network members will be eligible to benefit from CE language training, study related internships and the CE Degree, yielding participation in Campus Europae more flexible and attractive.
- to accept the applications of the University of Hannover and the University of Cyprus, which henceforth become full members of the EUF-CE network.
The Board as also unanimously elected its President and Vice-President who are, respectively, Prof. António Ferrari (University of Aveiro) and Associate Prof. Vaidotas Viliunas (Vytautas Magnus University, Lithuania). Furthermore The Board of Directors welcomed thought provoking speeches from MEP’s Doris Pack and Leonidas Donskis on academic mobility and human rights in higher education.
